Welcome to Textbook Franchise!
According to the National Association of College Stores,
U.S. college store sales for the year 2007-2008 were estimated to be $9.8
billion.
For the year 2007-2008, college students were reported
to have spent an average of $750 in their campus
bookstore.
The college bookstore industry is an exciting and growing
industry. Most campuses have displayed a need for more than one college bookstore.
In these rough economic times, college students are looking for ways to save
money on their education. A private off campus college bookstore can usually
save students money on their textbooks. As a company, the main goal of Textbook
Exchange is to save college students money on their textbooks.
The college bookstore market is not affected by economic
conditions. When economic condtions are bad, many people decide to go back
to college in order to pursue a degree and make themselves more marketable
to potential employers. When economic conditions are good, many people still
decide to go to college and pursue a degree so that they can find a better
job and get paid more money for the work that they do. The college bookstore
industry is usually not affected by any economic condition. There will always
be a need for a college education, and with a college education comes a need
to purchase college textbooks in order to achieve that goal.
This is a very good time to get into this industry.
In regards to the private college bookstore, this concept is still relatively
new in this industry. Most bookstores are run by the institution or University.
Some are contracted out to larger wholesale companies. For the most part,
the private off campus college bookstore does not exist at most college campuses.
Textbook Exchange is trying to change this.
In our effort to bring more off campus college bookstores
to campuses across the country, Textbook Exchange has put together an impressive
plan on how to be successful in owning and operating a college bookstore.
We have put our 8 years of experience into a software program designed to
help you succeed in this industry. This program will greatly reduce the time
spent doing work in the business, and give you more free time to work and
have fun out of the business. Most Textbook Exchange bookstores are only
open 20-25 weeks out of the year, and we still generate as much income as
most small businesses that are all year long.
The college bookstore industry is very exciting and
rewarding, and Textbook Exchange can help provide you the model that you
need in order to succeed. Below are the following campuses that will be open
for franchising. The franchise fee is based on the total full time and part
time enrollment of each campus. Off campus bookstore locations will need
to be approved and will not be located farther than 1/4 mile from the main
campus.
